Weekly Finds . . .

Happy Saturday!  It's been raining like the end of the world here so it's looking like a pretty dreary Saturday.  On the bright side, it may mean some extra free time today.  I better get planning for that because, if  you recall, it's not always the best thing for me!  For now I'm sharing some Weekly Finds since I preempted Friday Finds with a promotion for the American Heart Association.  Doesn't sound as clever, huh?

First of all, a friend sent me a great NY Times article on posture and happiness.  I love it when she does that!  Not only are they always great articles, but I don't have to do the work and research!  Anyway, she know I've been harping on posture for a couple of years now and its importance.  Well, it turns out there is evidence that folks with good posture are happier people!  Really!  Read it for yourself here http://raisinghappiness.blogspot.com/2012/03/what-has-your-stuff-done-for-you-lately.html#more.

I haven't posted weekly foods in a while.  I've really worked on eating clean for the past couple of weeks (even with those darn Girl Scout Cookies in my house!) so here are some of the goods . . .

Fresh salad with Kale, Spinach, roasted turkey, dried cranberries and a side of hummus

turkey, hummus and lettuce wrap

This is what happens when you put blueberries and spinach in your protein shake. It looks more like mud . . .but tastes good!

Roasted green beans - driizzle with a little olive oil and spices. When almost cooked add a little parmesan cheese!

Picture
Protein Pancakes -made the night before (because I thought I was making breakfast for dinner but changed my mind) heated up the next morning. Brilliant! Recipe coming soon!

Now, enough of the food.  On to other things.
Favorite quote of the week:

It is better to let go of something than hold onto nothing.

Yep.  Really working on that one!
On the lighter side here are a couple of funny cards that came my way!  The first is a birthday card I gave to The Husband.  So true!  The second was given to me by a friend.  Love them both!
Lastly, this was on my deck this morning.  I told you it's been raining here!

That's a lot of water!

On to the day, now.  Time to get a workout in.
Enjoy your day!

What's on tap with your day?   Holding on to anything lately?  How many boxes of Girl Scout boxes are in  your pantry?
