Vacation . . .Re-Entry and a Recap in Photos

Re-entry after a great vacation can be challenging.  It's especially a challenge when you have been where the skies are bright blue, the sun shines, the water is warm and you have been with your family and great friends.  It's even more challenging when you return to wet, cold, dreary weather.  Sigh.  So, I am trying to re-live a great week.  Vacations are healthy, as are spending time with your family, friends, and throwing in some healthy habits along with the decadence.  Since they say pictures speak a thousand words, I'll be sharing with photos here.

These photos are the view from above Cinnamon Bay in St. John USVI. The view is always changing depending on the time of day, clouds, and weather. I never tire of enjoying it.

Talk about "workout with a view"! A great spot for a little yoga, floor work or stretch.

My very favorite beverage - A Lime in da Coconut. Somebody needs to come up with a Healthy Version!

Gotta share it . . . because. . .

As do great friends!

A morning trek, hike, or run down the many hills to the beach and back - otherwise dubbed the "Cruel Walk" by my partners.

And music on the beach. What could be better? Especially when you hear Kenny Chesney might be coming on over . . .

Some places you just have to swim for a drink. Now that's a way to earn your cocktail.

Then there's the freshly caught Mahi Mahi . . .

And Tuna . . .

Our adopted cat, "Cat" really wanted some of the eats.

Tired of the fabulous views yet?

When I'm looking outside at the gray day I just go back to these photos.  We had a fabulously fast week of fun times with our boys, their friends and our friends.  I kept to my "vacation philosophy" and started all but one morning off with the "cruel walk" or run,  either by myself or with partners.  I enjoyed local flavor in the eats and drinks, slept in a little, enjoyed the beach, read lots and just enjoyed good times.

Vacations are the best inventions ever.   In fact, I love them so, I found myself sitting on the beach trying to plan another one.  The First Son called me out on that,  and said I just needed to enjoy the moment.  Well said.

So, here's to re-entry to reality, being refreshed, rejunivated and ready for Spring!  If it would only just come a little quicker!

And tomorrow I'll be back to the regular programming with a healthy, hearty dish!

What rejuvinates you?  Are you a trip planner or do you just roll with what comes your way?  What's your favorite place to vacation?
