All in the photos!  Father's Day, a workout and winners  . . .

This weekend was pretty low key.  The middle son is away at wrestling camp, and it always feels so different at home when even one is away.  Of course, I can't not mention Father's Day!  Ours was pretty low key.  I always think Barbecue is a pretty "manly" thing to have on Father's Day, and since I didn't want the Father figure to cook up his own meal we tried a new Barbecue restaurant called, SmokeBelly,  I might add we weren't the only ones with this idea as the place was packed with lots of dads, AND so many fathers that they ran out of ribs.  We'll surely have to go back to try the Cherry Cola ribs.  Otherwise, it was quite a tasty Father's Day dinner.

Here's the proof:

My lettuce wrap . . . .especially tasty with some barbecue sauce.

It's nice to know the boys haven't outgrown making homemade cards . . . not sure if that's a sign of true thoughtfulness or pure laziness . . .

Another find on Father's Day was this:

How could something that cute make such an awful mess??

On another note, summer workouts have finally begun!  The great thing about this time of year is that the weather is good and a workout can happen anywhere.  So, no gym needed, just a track, field, backyard, driveway, even parking lot like my summer outdoor sweat sessions.
If you need a little inspiration, here's a little something similar to some of our outdoor workouts.
Hope you enjoyed a great day celebrating any and all dads in your life!  I'm so happy to have been surrounded by some pretty cool Dads in my life, The Husband, included of course! I also hope you are getting outside some, getting some exercise and staying motivated.  Annnndddd, while you are outside I hope you are wearing sunscreen!

Sarah A. and Kay W. are both getting some Rodan & Fields Sunscreen to arm themselves against the rays.  Ladies, please shoot me an email (marladeenbrooks@gmail.com) with your address so I can send it on!  Thanks for all the "Likes" and comments from you all!
