Eat Fit Go Review!
I am not typically a "luncher". In fact, I made getting out and meeting friends for lunch one of my New Year's Resolutions. That is a little sad, huh? Well, last week I had the opportunity to get out for lunch and meet Rachel of Eat Fit Go. It was a great time and I loved learning about this new company and its healthy vibe. I'm so glad they've chosen Atlanta as a home!Healthy eating is crucial for our longevity and for building that healthy balanced lifestyle. I am all about eating real food and cutting out the processed stuff that is so prevalent in our lives these days. If you are a regular reader here you know that I cook a lot for my family. However, you also know that most of my recipes are quick and really easy. Occasionally I will share something that is a bit more time-consuming, but that is typically for a special ocassion. I am all about fast food that is good for you. Sometimes you just can't eat at home though. So, what is the answer? Eat Fit Go has made that really simple. It is a perfect grab and go solution for any meal of the day!If you are here in Atlanta, Eat Fit Go is here for you. It provides chef-made meals, made fresh daily, never frozen, low sodium, high protein, no preservatives and allergy-friendly. You can think of them like your grocery store, except all the groceries are already picked out, cleaned, chopped, cooked and packaged ready for you to pick up! I love the fact that every item is offered in a small and large option AND has a label listing the ingredients and nutrition facts, so you know exactly the macro count in what you are eating.I had heard a little about this concept but had not been into Eat Fit Go until last week. When you walk in you are greeted by a clean, bright open space. The counter in front has that great California feel. One wall is banked by all of your food choices. There are breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks and even something to satisfy the sweet. If you want to eat inside, you go right over to the microwave, follow the directions right on the label, or on the microwave for your particular dish, pop it in and that's it. You can sit and enjoy. This is Rachel who filled me in on all the background and info of Eat Fit Go. She's a Georgia girl, UGA athlete and grad, currently working on her Masters. She's just as smart and accomplished as she is cute!I had the small Fajita Smart Chicken Bowl. (400 cal, 32 G protein, 53 G carbs, 6 G fats). It was really tasty and quite filling! I also grabbed a Seasonal Berry Salad to go and a Fajita Steak Bowl for the Third son's dinner. You all have heard me talk about him as a "foodie" so he was the real test. He loved it!Rachel and I shared a couple of the Coconut Cranberry Protein balls. So good! These also passed the Third son's taste test.In Atlanta you can check out the locations in Vinings, Sandy Springs and Alpharetta. Their website has lots of great info on the concept, the large and variety of meals as well as some of the great deals they offer. They offer a Perfect Week Meal Plan of 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 5 dinners, 5 snacks and 5 protein bars for either $149 for small meals or $169 for large meals. I'm not a math person, but even I can see that's a sweet deal without even using my calculator! Also, because I love sharing good stuff with you all, when you visit Eat Fit Go, simply give them my name (Marla Deen - there's only one, you know!) and you'll receive 5% off of your order!!OR if you think you'll forget, take a photo of this coupon and use it at checkout for your 5% discount!
