Not my typical Monday night. . .

I had my Monday evening all planned.  I had a nice healthy dinner in mind and was looking forward to a nice quiet evening at home.  Tuesday mornings come early as I have a Bootcamp style class before the heat of the day begins.  Truth be told, I've turned into a huge homebody lately and find myself wanting to stay in far too often.  Last night, the Husband had other plans.  Trying not to be a "Debbie Downer" of the worst sort I agreed to go out.  So, this is where the evening began:

A great little dinner spot with a lovely menu full of fresh dishes.

Deviled egg with a little dill, cayenne pepper and a surprise of a boiled peanut. Yum!

One of the best quinoa dishes I've had. Fresh parsley, avocado, peas and a really light dressing. So good! I have to go back just for this.

This was just the beginning though.  The night was really about going to see this:

Walking into the concert was quite entertaining! I couldn't resist snapping a photo of this outfit! The combination of camo and I'm not sure what you call the pattern here, but I'm saying it's pretty bold!

Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham still rocking!

Fleetwood Mac have been around for about as long as I can remember knowing about bands.  Not too long ago, we all stayed up far too late at my brother's house watching one of their live concerts on Palladia.  We couldn't go to bed because we couldn't stop watching!  I love that I was able to see them live and am amazed at what a strong show these folks put on!  They hadn't toured since 2009, so who knows when we would get the opportunity to see them again?  Lindsay Buckingham on the guitar was about as physical as it gets!  Even as, if not more, amazing is that Stevie Nicks turned 65 this May 26.  All I can say is "Wow!"  Her voice is still as strong as ever.  She still twirls on stage,  swirling her long blond hair, shaking her tamborine, and floating her signature scarves.  I honestly wondered how many of those witchy looking  black dresses she has in her dressing room!

They played lots of their old favorites like Gypsy, Sara, Go Your Own Way and Rhiannon, and also introduced a couple of new numbers.  When they sang "Landslide" I knew it was well worth getting out of the house!  The encore was "Don't Stop" and I know there wasn't a person not singing along.  As usual the Husband was right and, sometimes, you just have to get out there.  Have fun.  Make a story.

How was your Monday night?  Had you rather stay in or go out?  What's your favorite Fleetwood Mac song?
