My 11 Reasons to Drink Lemon Water

I drink tons of water.  In fact, other than the coffee I have in the mornings, it is typically the only thing I drink during the day.  When I get tired of plain water I add lemon slices for a little flavor.  While I was following the Dr. Oz 10 Day Program, I also began drinking warm lemon water.  Little did I know how great this one easy little addition to my day is for me!  Now I rarely have water without lemon in it.  I have also begun chugging down a glass of lemon water before that first cup of coffee.  I make it very painless . . . and will tell you that secret after I share the 10 Best Reasons you should be adding Lemon to your water . . . First of all, let me tell you that lemons are loaded with nutrients, including vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and fiber.  In  fact, lemons have more potassium than those apples and grapes in your fridge.1. Reduces inflammation. If you drink lemon water on a regular basis, it will decrease the acidity in your body, which is where disease states occur. It removes uric acid in your joints, which is one of the main causes of inflammation.  (If you or someone you know suffers gout, please tell them to add lemon water to their daily routine to help flush out the uric acid build up)9. Gives an Energy BoostMaybe it's the fresh scent but the lemon juice helps give the body energy when it enters the body.10.
