Who Do I Coach?
Hey there!
This was not what I was originally going to share today, but sometimes things just fall into place and we readjust. This is a perfect time for me to readjust my plan and answer a question I’ve been muddling over this week.
Earlier in the week I was asked these questions, “What do you do? Who do you coach? Who do you help?”
Honestly, coming up with a simple, cut and dried answer completely escaped me. I felt as if I was, like I my oldest son said, all over the place.
I have coached women in fitness for years in group fitness settings, private small groups and one on one training. I still do and I love it! I love everything about it. I have virtual clients that I coach with their individual health and wellness goals. However, I also help women with what I like to call wellbeing, which is helping them navigate new seasons of their life and gain the tools and processes to move forward.
If you know anything about my story, you know I have had life experiences that help me work with women, not only in health and fitness, but who also may be navigating seasons of divorce, widowhood, becoming a single mom, loss of precious family members, loved ones battling addiction touched, becoming an empty nester, or pivoting into a new career. I believe with my whole heart that you can make it through all of life’s hurdles, whether they be the simple hills or the staggering mountains, with resilience, purpose, and even joy.
I have always had a big faith and while I didn’t always understand God’s plan (hello, His ways are much higher and better than mine) I did know that there was a reason for each season of my life. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it all, but it led me to get a new health coach certification and become a certified life coach. (At the time, much of that decision was just for me and developing my own sense of wholeness.)
This brings me back to the simple question that was so difficult for me to answer with a narrow response. Until I had an “aha” moment this week. It was fabulous and made me so excited about bringing it all together because I realized I didn’t need to pigeonhole clients into a fitness group, a health group and a life/wellbeing group. Because the method for moving forward is the same for all of us.
Think about it. Do you want to:
Have more energy every day?
Feel a sense of purpose when your feet hit the floor every day?
Know that you will have joy today, regardless of what comes your way?
Create sustainable, lifelong healthy habits?
Find what lights you up?
Move forward every single day?
You are really more similar than you think. Whether you are trying to create healthy habits and clean up your diet, make exercise a part of your routine, gain new perspective on your purpose, or move forward after a life event, it all comes down to the very same things.
Learning to think differently, reframe old habits and beliefs, and create different paths all require small intentional changes every day.
Back to the question, “Who do I coach?”
If you desire to move forward in your season, I coach you.
I will give you the encouragement and new methods, be your cheerleader and accountability partner and will get you from your very personal Point A to Point B.
Whether you are stuck in an unhealthy rut, a post pandemic fog, having a total lack of energy, feeling blah, or asking “What do I do now?” I will coach you to move forward.
