Move Forward Today

Here we go.  It's the Monday following the Thanksgiving Holiday.  You can look at this day with an "Ugh, it's Monday.  I've fallen off the wagon and I just can't get it going today" or you can buck yourself up and go do the hard stuff.  This is when I say, get to it.  Get back on track today, or tomorrow will it will be even harder. If you don't feel like it today, I'm not sure tomorrow will be any better.  Take a deep breath.  Set out your workouts, intentions,  and outline for healthy eating this week.  If you have been eating lots of carbs, indulging in wine and letting your workouts go by the wayside, it might not sound like a lot of fun to get back on track.  You may feel lethargic and full.  You may feel tired.  That's when you get at it anyway. My Monday begins with leading a small group training session then teaching a HIIT Interval class, followed by clients and teaching another group fitness class.  Mixed in there I need to get to the grocery store for some healthy foods so we are prepared for the week.  That might not have been what I wanted to do today, after a week off with a relaxed schedule.  I am by no means perfect.  I have been off schedule; I've eaten pie; I had wine; I had a day of no exercise.  But, I know I need to move forward.  I'm not at all telling folks that they should fill their own Monday with more than one workout;  what I am saying is I'm sure you want to move forward.  In order to do that you have to tackle the hard stuff sometimes.  I told one of my classes that just this morning.  I said we have to get this out of the way today, so we'll get back on track and be our best for the rest of the day and week. So, today, do one small thing to move forward.  Plan a healthy meal.  Eat a healthy snack.  Drink lots of water.  Move.Get to it.  You don't have to move the whole mountain today, just one rock and you'll be moving forward.Enjoy Your Day!
